Job descriptionProvide direct care and support to children and adolescents Assist with activities of daily living Implement individualized care plans and follow specific protocols Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and promoting independence Assist with medication administration and documentation as required Maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals You can choose to work one of the following available shifts 2 : 15 pm to 11 : 00 pm 10 : 30 pm to 7 : 00 am (currently NOT filling this shift) Experience in providing care to individuals with developmental disabilities or similar populations preferred but not required Ability to work effectively with people with diverse needs and backgrounds Strong communication skills to interact with individuals, families, and team members Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team orientated environment Starting pay of $19.10 per hour Pay increase to $20.42 after 6 months of employment Shift differential of $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 6pm and 6am $1000 sign on bonus paid over 6 months PAID Training including becoming a Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Benefits Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Paid Time Off – 30 days off per year

At Hands of Heartland, we believe that people with developmental disabilities are people first. We are looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our team as a Habilitation Specialist to provide care to the individuals we support at the Laura Dester Children’s Center. You will work with children and adolescents who have developmental disabilities as well as behavioral support needs and mental illness.
