Your temporary USVI license, roundtrip airfare, rental car, lodging, and malpractice insurance is provided. Since this is part of the US Virgin Islands no passport or visa is required. Anesthesia dates :

May 5,2020 to May 13,2020

June 11 to June 24,2020

July 5 to July 17,2020

Dec. 22 to January 8, 2021

Anesthesia Compensation :

$1200 per day

Anesthesia Job Description :

Typically 12-14 cases / day

Case types include : General / Regional surgeries, orthopedics, OB / GYN, GI, Orth, No open heart or neuro surgeries. Occasional healthy pediatrics

Usually 3 operating rooms run at a time

Locum will sometimes oversee CRNAs

24-hour call responsibility is shared with another doctor on the island. Call is taken from home after hours.

Weekend Call requirements : 24 hour call From Friday to 0730 Monday.

Anesthesia locums covers labor epidurals as well as general OR

Supervision of CRNAs is a mix of approximately 20% supervision, 80% own cases
