HSI is the training solution for insurance professionals seeking to gain knowledge, skills, and experiences to contribute effectively to their agencies.

We are seeking a P&C Business Insurance Curriculum Designer, Developer, and Trainer.

Responsibilities :

  • Design and develop adult learner technical insurance coverage training curricula for all lines of business within Business Insurance, Personal Insurance, and Employee Benefits segments.
  • Facilitate high-quality technical insurance and product coverage training for commercial and personal insurance, as well as employee benefit producers and agency Account Managers, including virtual classroom instruction and traditional in-person training.
  • Maintain and update curricula to ensure they reflect current industry trends and customer needs.
  • Manage and administer all activities related to training programs, including timely completion of activities such as continuing education (CE) processing, lesson planning, use of multimedia tools, communication with students, trainee evaluation reports, and providing feedback to trainees as needed.
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure they stay on track and within budget.
  • Up to 25% travel required.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Commercial Business underwriting experience; additional carrier or agency experience with Employee Benefits is preferred.
  • Prior experience in technical insurance training, including curriculum design and development, is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective presentation skills and style.
  • Strong business acumen.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • This role offers a hybrid or remote work arrangement. Candidates near one of our office locations are expected to work in-office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates not near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with occasional in-office visits as needed.

    Compensation :

    The listed annual base pay range is based on market analysis. Actual pay may vary based on performance, skills, and competencies. The base pay is one component of Hartfords total compensation, which may include bonuses, incentives, and recognition. The annualized base pay range is :

    102,640 - $153,960
