Program Manager People Operations
Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as Program Manager, People Operations.
Position Status : Full-time, Day Shift
Position Location : Hybrid - Virginia Beach, VA
Standard Working Hours : 8 : 00AM to 5 : 00PM (ET).
Expectations for this Role :
The Program Manager, People Operations works in close collaboration with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to cultivate a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative work environment that drives exceptional outcomes. The role leads strategic employee relations initiatives designed to align people practices with the organization's goals. By partnering with leadership, HR teams, and departmental managers, People Operations develops and implements forward-thinking strategies that promote workforce engagement, strengthen employee relations, and support a healthy, thriving organizational culture.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement strategic people relations policies and initiatives tailored to the healthcare environment
- Equip managers with the necessary training and resources, to facilitate effective retention conversations and elicit valuable insights from employees
- Facilitate training for leaders on people management, communication, and employee engagement strategies
- Analyze workforce trends, engagement data, and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement in people practices
- Support managers in determining actionable steps based on colleague feedback, to include Engagement Survey results, to positively influence employees' experience and drive meaningful change
- Support change management efforts and organizational development initiatives
- Provide coaching to managers on improving their employee relationships that foster a culture of trust within their teams
- Monitor early warning signs and develop strategies to address labor vulnerability
- Manage HR's response to changes in workforce requirements, and coordinate support to impacted colleagues
- Participate in people-focused operational committees and taskforces (i.e SOC audit, Pharmacy Diversion)
- This role will support workday processes, metrics and strategy, compliance and risk mitigation, leader coaching and training, culture and engagement and labor relations.
Required Qualifications and Experience :
