ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

Safely operate motor vehicles in and around the shop.

Diagnose and repair key systems including transmissions axles water pumps steering pumps alternators starters and surge brake units.

Specialize in rebuilding truck component parts following U-Haul standards and best practices.

Analyze failures determine root causes andperform precise repairs or replacements.

Identify reusable parts to minimize costs without compromising quality.

TOOLS & SKILLS REQUIRED :

Strong ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service bulletins.

Skilled in explaining technical concepts and mentoring less experienced team members.

Proficient with hand tools power tools micrometers presses pullers and cleaning machines.

High attention to detail and coordination of mental and visual focus with manual dexterity.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Ability to stand walk bend crouch and lift up to 50 lbs (assisted or unassisted).

Comfortable with repetitive physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Exposure to moving parts machinery fumes and chemicalssafety gear provided and required (masks goggles gloves shields).

Moderate risk environment with strict adherence to safety protocols.
