LRK is currently seeking a Specification Writer to join our Dallas office. Responsibilities include coordinating and producing project manuals, researching products and materials, performing code reviews, assisting project designers with material selection and system research, risk management resource to project teams, developing and strengthening relationships with vendors, continual development and improvement of LRK’s specifications templates for different project types and technical education of the design staff.
The ideal candidate must have 10+ years of proven experience in the architectural field with prior experience in specifications development. Prior experience in a construction setting a plus. Must possess a comprehensive understanding of building codes, building technology and structures; and have outstanding communication and customer service skills. Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to effectively educate design staff are required. Proficiency with Specifications software programs and Microsoft Office Suite is a must. AutoCAD and / or Revit knowledge desired. Degree in architecture required. Architectural license and LEED AP preferred.
