Shipping Clerk

POSITION OVERVIEW

A full-time position responsible for monitoring daily outbound loads ensuring accurate and timely completion of shipments to meet customer delivery commitments.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prioritize and stage all shipments according to schedule ensuring readiness for loading by the required times to meet customer delivery deadline
• Collaborate with the production team to communicate shipment priorities resolve carton shortages and proactively address potential delays.
• Enforce adherence to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
• Provide regular status updates to the traffic team regarding shipment progress proactively addressing any specific requirements or concerns they may have.
• Monitor staffing levels and communicate any anticipated shortages to the management team in a timely manner to ensure adequate coverage.
• Collaborate with the Shipping Lead to coordinate the efficient and timely movement of freight optimizing resource utilization.
• Provide a comprehensive daily handover to the 1st shift team communicating any ongoing issues or critical information to ensure a seamless transition between shifts.

The position rate is at $20.75 / hour for 2nd Shift

2nd shift 4 : 00pm-12 : 30am Monday-Friday
