Location : Blacksburg, Virginia (Zip : 24060) – Virginia nursing jobs

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 13 / 2025 – End : 1 / 12 / 2026)

Healthcare Setting : Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED), 11 beds

Shift : 12-hour nights (19 : 45 – 08 : 15)

Hours per Week : 36

Patient Ratio : 4 : 1

Scheduling : 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, 4 weekend shifts per month

Dress Code : Navy Blue Scrubs

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570 - $1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – required for all ER nursing jobs

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

NRP certification preferred

Proficiency with Meditech documentation system preferred

Ability to run labs and perform advanced ER procedures

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy emergency room setting

Perform and assist with ER procedures such as OCL application, breathing treatments, and conscious sedation

Operate and manage emergency equipment : POC Lab, EKG, C1 ventilator, Baxter pumps, glucometer, and cardiac monitors

Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and fellow nurses to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech
