About The Position

Job Title : Cath Lab Technician

Profession : Cath Lab Tech

Specialty : Cardiac Cath Lab

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12 Hour Nights

Hours per Shift : 36

Experience : Minimum 2 years with coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral experience

License : AA / AAS Degree

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, RT or equivalent or RCIS required

Must-Have :

• Experienced in coronary, complex PCI, and peripheral cases
• Ability to perform table movement (panning)
• Arrhythmia recognition and treatment skills
• Critical patient assessment skills

Description :

The Cath Lab features 2 cath labs and 2 hybrid peripheral / OR.

Travelers must live 100 miles away from the facility.

Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as travelers.

Patient types include coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, diagnostic cath procedures, valvular disease, renal disease, carotid stenosis, limb salvage, peripheral stenosis, thrombosis disease, Impella insertion, and LVAD insertions.

Patient ratios are RN : 1 : 1.

Travelers will not need to float to Interventional Radiology, as departments are separate.

Charge nursing is available Monday-Friday, 0600-1630.

Charting systems used include EPIC (required) and Epic Cupid (preferred).

Scheduling includes weekend rotation every 4 weekends.

On-call responsibilities may include 1-2 days per week from 1630-0600 and every 4th weekend from 1630 Friday to 0600 Monday.

Holiday expectations may include one per assignment.

Approval of time off must go through management.

Scrub colors are procedural and provided.
