In this role, you’ll join Leo's Structural Integrity and Analysis team as a Liaison Engineer to innovate and solve engineering issues that arise during Leo production operations leading to every flight of our constellation of satellites. You will be working on the shop floor along side Manufacturing and Quality teams to develop engineering dispositions related to non-conformances. You will work hard, have fun, and make history!
This Liaison Engineer must have Material Review Board (MRB) experience in aerospace programs, and must be able to understand the balance between engineering judgment versus analysis rigor and when each is appropriate.

A day in the life
This Liaison / MRB Engineer will be providing engineering support to resolve engineering issues that arise during manufacturing and assembly processes, quality inspection and acceptance tests, through the application of engineering and design principles, consulting the engineering development teams as needed.
About the team
The Structural Material Review Board team is part of the Leo Structural Integrity and Analysis teams (Structural Analysis, Loads and Dynamics, Materials and Processes and Reliability) that is ultimately responsible for Integrity of not only the spacecraft but all other commodities supporting the program, inside and outside of the Mechanical Engineering group.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with the project management of technical projects

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,600 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
