Description :

This is a contract position for a Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist in the operating room / surgery setting.

The position requires cardiovascular experience.

On-call duties are required.

The unit provides surgery services and has a specific focus on cardiovascular procedures.

The ideal candidate is expected to work 4 ten-hour shifts per week.

On-call requirements include one weeknight per week and one weekend per month.

Weekends will be part of the on-call rotation.

Staffing on the unit includes a mix of nurses and support staff, allowing for optimal patient care.

The patient ratio during the night shift is 1 : 1.

Key equipment in use includes surgical instruments, cautery devices, and various monitoring systems.

Electronic medical records are maintained using a specific system.

There are permanent positions available for cardiovascular surgical technologists in this unit.

The typical procedures performed include CABG, valve repairs and replacements, and endovascular interventions.
