What You'll Do :
- Perform physical exams and assessments of patients in Urgent Care
- Select orders and perform laboratory and other diagnostic testing to augment physical findings
- Interpret data and diagnostic results for appropriate course of action
- Formulate differential diagnosis based on history, physical and clinical findings, and diagnostic testing
- Document current injury, physical findings, diagnosis, and plan of care in the medical record for each visit daily. Complete charges daily on all patient visits
- Write and call in prescriptions as allowed by formulary and licensure without physician co-signature
- Consult with Emergency Department physician when necessary
- Provide Occupational Health services in Urgent Care
- Provide coverage in the Emergency Department as needed
- Formulate plans that include discharge and needed referral and follow-up care
- Evaluate patient psychological and behavioral responses to interventions for revision of management plan and document changes in the medical record
- Communicate with patients and their family members regarding plan of care
- Perform procedures granted through the credentialing process
What We're Looking For :
Required :
Nurse Practitioner :Master's Degree in Nursing, specialized in Emergency / Family Practice
Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of New HampshireAdvanced Nurse Practitioner currently registered with New Hampshire State Board of NursingCurrent BLS, DOT CertificationACLS,ENPC, and TNCC certifications to be completed within one year of hirePhysician Assistant :Bachelor of Science degree and graduate of American Medical Association-approved Physician Assistant Program
New Hampshire Board of Medicine licensure to practice as a Physician AssistantACLS Certification to be completed within one year of hireDOT CertificationExperience in Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or Occupational Health settingExperience with electronic health recordAbility to work independently as sole providerCommitment to excellent patient experienceWhy Join Speare Memorial Hospital?
