The role involves providing care to patients in a high-paced environment. The Department has 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track, and 5 behavioral health designated areas. There are 111 total staff members, with additional mid-shifts and night shifts available. Patient ratios are 1 : 4 in the Emergency Department, 1 : 5 for behavioral health, and 1 : 3 for cardiac / trauma cases. Typical procedures include splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, and behavioral health de-escalation. The ideal candidate should be able to multitask, work well in a team, and demonstrate initiative. Candidates with Meditech experience, trauma experience, and inpatient experience are preferred. Scrub color required for this position is navy blue. All staff must adhere to established policies and guidelines of the facility. Active participation in the unit’s committees and events is encouraged. This position provides an opportunity to work with advanced equipment and technology in the Emergency Department.
