Child and Family Guidance Center is seeking a licensedNurse Practitioner (Contract)for our North Texas clinics. This is a contract position for a licensed skilled Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Mental Health. The position is located in Dallas County.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Adhere to all current city, state and federal laws, rules and regulations, as well as CFGC Employee Handbook, including the safeguarding of confidential healthcare information and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Provide comprehensive, integrated mental health care to patients.
- Diagnose and treat mental health and emotional disorders.
- Maintain detailed records of patient visits and progress.
- Prepare and present all assigned cases for review by the Medical Director as required.
- Assist in the development of an individualized treatment plan.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient continuity of care.
- Attend all team, individual, and agency training and meetings as required and scheduled by CFGC management.
- Educate patients and families about mental health and emotional disorders.
- Maintain professional certification and / or licensure, when applicable. Have and maintain DEA licensure.
- Provide and maintain a valid drivers license and copy of current auto liability insurance.
- This position requires up to 65% local travel and employees are responsible for providing their own transportation. Mileage reimbursement.
- Must have a working phone to provide services and be eligible for phone reimbursement.

Must be licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the State of TexasMinimum of 2 years preferredPhysical Requirements :
Must be able to frequently (up to 90% of the time) sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs (if an elevator is unavailable).Must be able to frequently (up to 90% of the time) talk, listen and speak clearly in person and via telephone.Must be able to push, pull, lift and / or carry up to 25 lbs.Other duties :
