Job description

Trauma Surgeon | Permanent Role

  • Location : Frisco, TX 75034
  • Shift : 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM
  • Guaranteed : 40 Hours
  • Compensation : Based on experience.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide 24 / 7 trauma surgery coverage in a Level I / II trauma center environment.
  • Perform emergency surgical procedures for trauma patients.
  • Participate in trauma call rotation.
  • Manage pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including emergency physicians, intensivists, and specialists.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all patient interactions, procedures, and outcomes.
  • Participate in trauma quality improvement programs and morbidity / mortality reviews.
  • Supervise and mentor residents, advanced practice providers (APPs), and medical students, as applicable.

    • Qualifications :

  • Doctorate Degree in Medicine (MD or DO) Required
  • Board Certified / Board Eligible in General Surgery Required
  • Fellowship-trained in Trauma / Surgical Critical Care.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas Required
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification Required
  • Prior experience working in a high-volume trauma center
