Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with at least one year of operating room experience and an active IL RN license for a busy surgical department assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is based in a busy hospital operating room department
  • Performs a range of procedures including open heart, medical, and orthopedic surgeries
  • Day shift schedule from 06 : 45 to 15 : 15, Monday through Friday
  • Five 8-hour shifts per week with potential for extended hours based on case load
  • On-call required : one night every 2 weeks and one weekend every 6 weeks
  • Uses Epic EMR with proficiency required
  • Role involves assisting with various surgical procedures in a high-volume OR setting
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours based on surgical case load
  • On-call responsibilities include occasional nights and weekends
  • Scrub or dress code requirements will be provided by the facility
  • Testing and vaccination requirements such as drug screening, PPD, flu, and COVID vaccination may apply
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers

  • Active IL RN license required
  • Minimum of 1 year recent operating room experience
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association or Red Cross required
  • PALS and NIHSS certifications preferred
  • Epic EMR experience is mandatory
  • Familiarity with multi-specialty surgical cases, including open hearts and orthopedics
