VETERINARY TECHNICIAN OVERNIGHT

VCA Animal Specialty Group is a well established 24 hour emergency and specialty hospital. We are a teaching hospital that focuses on and encourages learning and professional growth.

What we're looking for : Looking for experienced technicians to work in our Emergency department. RVT preferred but not required.

Schedule : 8pm-630am, 10 hours, 4 days / week

Compensation : $ 26 - $ 34 / hr

Shift Differential : one dollar per hour for shifts starting after 6pm

Ideal candidates must be proficient at the following :

• IV catheter placement
• Venipuncture and U / S guided cystocentesis
• Radiographs
• Anesthesia induction (RVTs only), monitoring and recovery for minor and major procedures.
• Triage ER walk-ins
• Patient care and hourly treatments
• Calculating and preparing medications (including boluses, transfusions and CRIs)
• Restraining for exams and performing diagnostics
• Clients communication (histories, discharges, demos, prescriptions)
