About the Role :
As a Control Systems Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced automation and control systems that power Client Fulfillment Centers. You will work on cutting-edge solutions related to robotics, precision conveyance, packing, shipping, and sensor technologies. Your work will directly contribute to improving efficiency, reliability, and accuracy in Clients operations, ensuring customer shipments are processed swiftly and flawlessly.
Job Title : Automation Engineer
Key Responsibilities :
Develop PLC code using ladder logic, structured text, and Codesys to control a wide range of automation processes.Design HMI (Human-Machine Interface) applications to deliver intuitive and effective operator interfaces.Build and maintain scalable automation platforms for internal customers, emphasizing standardization and reusability.Configure and manage remote field devices including barcode scanners, weigh scales, dimensioning equipment, conveyors, printers, and label applicators.Provide training and hands-on support to site technicians and commissioning engineers to ensure reliable system performance.Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues for Client Fulfillment Centers, ensuring minimal operational downtime.Author equipment specifications and evaluate vendor submissions for technical compliance and alignment with project goals.Support and participate in large-scale automation and control projects, including global equipment deployments.Develop and refine best practices in industrial automation, standardization, system integration, and control methodologies.Collaborate closely with internal engineering, operations, and vendor teams to deliver high-quality automation solutions.Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience developing PLC code using ladder logic and structured text with working knowledge of Codesys.Familiarity with designing and implementing HMI applications for industrial automation.Strong understanding of control systems including robotics, precision conveyance, sensors, and barcode systems.Experience configuring and maintaining various automation and remote I / O devices.Ability to train and support technicians and commissioning teams in control system operation and troubleshooting.Proficiency in reading, writing, and reviewing equipment specifications and vendor documentation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex control system issues.Effective communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.Adaptability and willingness to explore new automation technologies and methodologies.Desired Qualifications :
Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.Leadership experience or demonstrated leadership potential.Familiarity with Industrial Control Systems (ICS) design principles and industry standards.Experience with automation management strategies, system lifecycle management, and global-scale standardization.Proficiency in additional programming languages used in automation and industrial controls.Exposure to Client Fulfillment Center operations or similar high-volume, highly automated environments.Strong project management or coordination skills.Experience integrating advanced control systems using Codesys in large-scale deployments.Location : Seattle WA (100% Onsite)
Salary Range : The salary for this position is between $135,000 $140,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography / market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
