Senior Estimator

I’m working with a growing, family oriented company  in Charleston that is expanding and looking to add a talented Senior Estimator to the team. They focus on commercial and residential earthwork projects.

What You’ll Be Doing :

Reviewing civil plans and bid documents for scope and accuracy

Performing detailed takeoffs and cost estimates for all phases of site development (grading, utilities, paving, etc.)

Utilizing AGTEK or Insite Elevation Pro to model, quantify, and analyze sitework volumes

Building budgets and bid proposals ranging from $2M–$10M+

Coordinating with project managers, superintendents, and owners to ensure bid accuracy and feasibility

Managing vendor and subcontractor pricing

Participating in project handoff meetings to support a smooth transition to operations

Requirements / Qualifications :

✅ 2+ years of heavy civil / land development estimating experience

✅ Strong plan reading & interpretation skills — able to navigate complex site drawings and grading plans

✅ Must have proven working knowledge of AGTEK or Insite Elevation Pro (testing required using a past awarded bid for accuracy comparison)

✅ Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred ; equivalent experience considered

✅ Experience estimating projects in the $2M–$10M+ range

✅ Residential and commercial site development experience required

✅ Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

✅ Proficient with standard office software (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
