The role includes on-call duties primarily during overnight hours (5-8 call slots and 1-2 weekend calls within an 8-week scheduling window), requiring arrival within 30 minutes.
Your Role : As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in our Operating Room, ensuring safety and efficiency for our patients. Major Responsibilities :
Maintain a sterile environment, preparing materials and equipment for surgical procedures.Assist in various procedures, demonstrating a basic understanding of a wide array of surgical techniques.Ensure environmental safety and efficiency by setting up and returning equipment post-procedure.Assist as a Second Assistant when necessary.Notify staff of equipment or supply issues and transport patients and equipment as needed.Maintain the specialty carts, ensuring their completeness and operative condition.Demonstrate knowledge of patient care specific to various age groups.Qualifications :
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of hire.Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.No previous experience is required.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Understanding of aseptic techniques and various surgical equipment.Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.Basic computer proficiency.Physical Requirements :
