American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Home Health assignment in New Jersey requiring strong recent home health expertise and OASIS experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Home health care setting covering patients recently discharged from hospitals and nursing facilitiesPatient population includes wound care, wound vacs, pleurx drains, ostomies, heart failure, diabetic, oncology, post-surgical, and orthopedic casesProductivity expectations are 6 visits per day or equivalent (e.g., admissions count as 2)Day shift schedule (5x8 hours) from 8 : 30 to 17 : 00Required to work every 5th weekend and every other holidayNo mileage reimbursement providedUse of OASIS for assessments and EPIC EMR for documentationTravelers may be required to float within 5 hospitals in the service area, depending on staffing needsPrimary responsibility includes providing skilled nursing care and completing home health assessmentsRole involves wound care, IV therapy, and monitoring chronic conditionsApplicants must be able to work independently and manage a varied home health caseloadOrientation modules will be completed as part of the onboarding processMust work individually; travel pairs are not permittedRTO must be declared at time of submission, with preference for requests under four days and no time off during the first weekDress code is professional attire suitable for home visits\n \n Requirements\n
Active NJ or Compact RN license required and must be in hand at the time of considerationMinimum of 2 years recent home health RN experience within the last 12 months is requiredMed Surg nursing skills requiredOASIS and EPIC experience requiredCurrent BLS certification requiredValid driver's license and reliable transportation requiredProof of COVID and Flu vaccination required at the time of considerationMust pass a dysrhythmia test during orientation (two attempts permitted)\n Benefits\n
