Salary : $25.99 / Hour

Big Stone County is seeking anInformation Technology Support Specialistto work on-site at the Ortonville Government Office. This is a regular, full-time position within the IT Department, scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. It is a Grade 8 position with a 2025 hourly wage range of $25.99$34.10 / hr, and includes a full County benefits package.

This position provides front-line technical support and helps analyze, maintain, and improve the Countys IT systems. Key responsibilities include assisting with system upgrades, supporting cloud-based tools, maintaining user access and documentation, and helping departments use technology more effectively. The support specialist also supports compliance with data privacy standards and works closely with the IT Director on technology planning and implementation.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Associates degree in Information Technology or related field and three years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience
• Valid Drivers License
• Must pass an extensive background check
• General understanding of networking, cloud tools, and system administration
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Certifications such as A+, Network+, or Security+ preferred
• Must complete continuing education to stay current with County systems and industry standards

Additional Information :

This position is on site in Ortonville, Minnesota, and is not eligible for remote work.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future immigration support.
