Job Title : Diesel Fleet Technician
As a diesel fleet technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our transportation operations. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working with medium / heavy-duty trucks, as well as a valid CDL (Class B) or higher license. They will also possess ASE certifications in automotive or medium / heavy-duty trucks, as well as HVAC certification. Experience with computer-based diagnostic software is a plus.
Responsibilities :
Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues related to engines, transmissions, and clutches
Perform quality control inspections on all fleet vehicles and equipment
Document all work performed on work orders
Learn and develop efficiency in Sysco's computer programs
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
At least 3 years of experience working with medium / heavy-duty trucks
Valid CDL (Class B) or higher license
ASE certifications in automotive or medium / heavy-duty trucks
HVAC certification
Experience with computer-based diagnostic software
