Key Responsibilities
Develop and oversee the company’s US income and indirect tax functions.Manage all aspects of the company’s taxes including the co-sourcing relationship with a major accounting firm.Facilitate the accurate preparation, review, and filing of the company’s local, state and federal tax forms and income tax provision processes.Activities
Manage the company’s tax co-sourcing environment in partnership with a major accounting / tax firm.Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state and local income tax returns and other business-related filings.Oversee and manage the preparation of the company’s tax provisions and indirect tax processes and filings.Actively identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.Collaborate cross functionally across the business to develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.Plan for and develop overall tax calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with the business.Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.Skill, Capability And Educational Requirements
7+ years of experience in a tax or public accountant role and at least 3 years of experience in a tax management role.Must hold a current CPA license and a B.S Degree in Accounting.Master’s degree in taxation preferred.Strong judgement and sound decision-making ability, while balancing details and accuracy with analytical skills. Must have proven organizational skills and the ability to take ownership and work autonomously.Extensive corporate and partnership tax knowledge.Robust knowledge of U.S federal and state tax codes, compliance and procedures for corporations.Experience in building and improving on the company’s ability to manage tax reporting, compliance and risk management, through developing and redesigning processes, and / or exploring new / available technology solutions.Maintain effective internal controls and tax governance practices to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of tax filings and reporting.Excellent project management skills and outward approach to working with all aspects and levels of the Company in a hands on and deadline sensitive environment.Final determination on pay grade and salary will be made by HR and company leadership considering the candidate’s education, experience, past performance, demonstrated leadership and influence.
