About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chair of Internal Medicine to lead its department in a dynamic and impactful role. The successful candidate will be responsible for the clinical care of a diverse patient population, including those in a tertiary safety net hospital, a Level 1 trauma and burn center, and various primary and specialty care facilities. This leadership position requires a well-rounded and collaborative clinician with a strong passion for research, teaching, and community outreach. The Chair will also be involved in the management of primary care physicians, on-site consultations, and will be expected to have a significant scholarly presence with a focus on quality improvement and healthcare system redesign.
Applicants for the Chair of Internal Medicine at the company should hold an M.D. or D.O. degree, be actively board-certified or board-eligible, and have completed ACGME residency training. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in physician leadership, clinical responsibilities, and a commitment to scholarly work. While not mandatory, additional training such as an MBA, MHA, MPH, or clinical informatics, and experience in an academic clinical, teaching, and research environment are preferred.
