Unit : Surgical Services

# of Suites : 2 (only 1 room running at a time)

Average Cases per Day : 3–5 (varies by day; Thursdays typically none unless emergent)

Common Cases : Cholecystectomies, hernia repairs, hysterectomies, D&C, colonoscopies, endoscopies, C-sections (backup role)

Certifications Required : BLS, ACLS, NRP (non-negotiable)

Experience Required : Minimum 3 years OR experience; Pre-op and PACU experience preferred

Scrubbing : Not required but preferred

EMR : Epic

Shift : 3x12-hour shifts (0700–1930)

Call : 17–20 call shifts per 8-week period (30-minute response time)

Dress Code : Surgical scrubs provided

Orientation : 2 days in OR, plus light cross-training in Pre-op / PACU

Environment : Small, close-knit team with occasional downtime; must be flexible to float as needed
