Betterway Rent-A-Car is the largest Budget Car and Truck Rental licensee in the United States operating in 8 major markets (Atlanta, Birmingham, Memphis, Tupelo, Kansas City, Omaha, Salt Lake City, and Wichita) and several smaller markets. We are the largest car rental licensee in the United States. Betterway was established in 1977; from our inception, we have been family-owned and operated. We employ over 700 team members across all of our markets.

Budget Rent a Car of Atlanta is looking for a dynamic, career-minded Facilities Maintenance professional to join us in our unprecedented growth. The position would be ideal for an individual with facility maintenance experience while understanding the corporate structure of managing projects and tenants. Qualified candidates will be able to create personal relationships with our staff, identify opportunities, develop maintenance strategies, have tremendous energy and drive, and have sufficient know-how to impact the business in a powerful way.

Requirements :

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Essential maintenance and repair of multiple facilities, including interior, exterior, and lawn service for up to 20 locations.
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
  • Cleans and assists with the upkeep of the facilities.
  • Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in clean, safe working order.
  • Equipment assembly and relocation.
  • Basic lawn and lot maintenance.
  • Self-motivated and proven facility professional with inside or outside experience.
  • Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of MS Office.
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisor.
  • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Willing to listen to staff regarding facility conditions, determine necessary repairs, and execute the action for solutions.
  • Education and Experience :

  • High school diploma.
  • Two years facility maintenance experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Requirements :

  • Self-motivated and proven facility professional with inside or outside experience.
  • Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Possess a valid driver's license & satisfactory driving record.
  • Knowledge and understanding of MS Office.
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
