Quality Engineer

Job Title : Quality Engineer Reports to : Director of Quality Job Summary : Perform a variety of tasks involving the application of efficient Engineeringprinciples to a multitude of various quality, production and office problems. Workon special projects as needed to support the department. Duties / Responsibilities :  Performs standard Quality Engineering functions in an effort to achieve costreductions and work simplification in the Quality area. Conduct studies to identify and mitigate potential process failure points andtherefore, reducing the associated risk as a result. Conducts Process Capability studies to determine the extent to which the processcan meet engineering requirements. Conduct Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility studies to quantify the inherentvariation in a measurement system. This would include collecting data, analyzingdata, preparing reports and implementing recommended changes. Resolve Quality problems through collaboration with other engineering, technical,and production personnel using root cause analysis and other problem solvingtechniques. Participation in brainstorming sessions and other meetings for the improvement ofthe Company. Playing an active role under the direction of the Quality / Configuration Engineer,or others, within the Quality Function. All other duties as assigned or as required supporting the best interest of theCompany. Directly Supervises : None. Qualifications : Education / Experience : 4 year degree (or working toward a 4 year degree) in an accredited IndustrialEngineering or Mechanical Engineering program.ASQ Certification isrecommended.Must be able to work well with people at all levels of the Company.
