Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Board‑Certified or Residency Trained Veterinary Anesthesiologist to join our growing team at VRA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for anesthesia and pain management, combined with expertise in advanced anesthesia techniques, be passionate about providing high-quality veterinary care, and possess excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with our clients. You will work closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager alongside two other Anesthesiologists, as well as a team of experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff, in a state‑of‑the‑art facility to provide top‑tier care to our patients.

Veterinary Referral Associates (VRA) is an AAHA‑accredited, 24‑hour specialty and emergency hospital in Gaithersburg, MD, dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care. Our hospital spans over 30,000 square feet and offers a wide range of specialty services, including medical and radiation oncology, internal medicine, surgery, emergency and critical care, ophthalmology, anesthesiology, neurology, cardiology, radiology, acupuncture, physical rehabilitation, radioactive iodine treatment, and an in‑house pathology department. We pride ourselves on the collaborative approach of our specialists and emergency veterinarians, delivering the highest standard of patient care.
