Job Title : Travel Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift) Location : Starr Regional Medical Center, Athens, TN Shift : 6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM Contract Type : Travel Assignment Duration : 13 Weeks (with potential for extension)

Job Summary : Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment at Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care across emergency and critical care settings, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and be confident working independently as the sole Respiratory Therapist on shift.

Responsibilities :

Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians

Operate and maintain mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment

Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed

Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis

Provide respiratory support in ER and critical care settings

Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment use

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

Must Have Skills / Experience :

Ability to work independently

Comfortable being the only Respiratory Therapist on shift

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Experience in ER and critical care settings

Preferred Skillset / Experience :

Previous RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) experience

Required Certifications :

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

BLS (Basic Life Support)

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
