Conduct matched analysis for loan pricing and credit decisions as well as pricing and decisioning outliers.
Manage requirements for Fair Lending Regulatory Examinations and Internal Audits.
Perform Compliance due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
Provide regulatory research and expertise to all business units of the bank.
Assist the Fair Banking Director in developing compliance review programs.
Perform ongoing reviews of consumer complaints, advertisements, loan approval and denial documentation, and all applicable consumer related forms for fair banking risks.
Prepare periodic fair lending reports for senior management, and the Board of Directors that includes significant fair banking developments, fair banking risk monitoring and testing results, and fair banking key risk indicators.
Maintain current knowledge of lending products, programs, operations, systems, and controls.
Perform periodic analysis of lending and denial activity to document fair lending risks.
Assist lending staff in compiling and analyzing HMDA compliance metrics, drafting summary reports and recommendations associated with that analysis, and reporting results to management.
Maintain a working knowledge of all consumer regulations as they may impact fair banking practices.
Other Responsibilities :
May be required to present information to the Board of Directors or a committee thereof.
Comply with all regulations pertaining to BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT, and OFAC. Complete annual BSA training. Report suspicions of criminal activity, or any attempt to avoid BSA reporting requirements on the part of customers or employees, to the AML / BSA Compliance Department. For supervisory positions, ensure BSA training requirements are completed by staff.
Perform other job duties as deemed necessary by supervisor.
Requirements
Required Skills :
Intermediate to advanced PC skills for Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze various compliance problems or regulations and develop effective solutions in conjunction with the Chief Compliance Officer.
Ability to conduct research independently via written materials as well as electronic versions in an effective and professional manner.
Ability to manage and complete projects effectively with little or no supervision.
Required Experience :
Must have attained or worked towards obtaining the ICB Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification.
CRCM preferred.
Bachelors Degree and five plus years regulatory compliance related work experience.
Masters Degree and additional education such as having attended the ICB / ABA Graduate Compliance School, Institute of Certified Bankers / American Bankers Association (ICB / ABA) Undergraduate Compliance School or relevant work experience preferred.
