Job descriptionPerform rounding and inpatient consults in gastroenterology Assist the physician with bedside procedures Deliver pre-op and post-op patient care Collaborate closely with the medical team to optimize patient outcomes Must be board certified in Gastroenterology (NCCPA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Illinois state license required Open to splitting the schedule between two providers, each covering at least 7 shifts monthly Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Bridge employment gaps or transitions between permanent positions by taking on locum assignments, maintaining income and professional engagement during transitional periods. About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterology Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Illinois. This opportunity starts on Dec 1, 2025, and spans 120 days, offering a flexible schedule with 8am-6pm shifts and a preferred 7 on 7 off rotation. Join a collaborative team to provide pre-op and post-op inpatient care, including rounding, consults, and assisting physicians with bedside procedures.
