Overview

LifeLong Medical Care has an exciting and rewarding opportunity searching for a Full-Time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join the team at our Brookside San Pablo Health Center (BSP) . The CNM provides general prenatal, postpartum, and gynecological health services in a community clinic setting.

This position is represented by UAPD. Salaries and benefits are set by a collective bargaining agreement (CBA), and an employee in this position must remain a member in good standing of UAPD, as defined in the CBA.

Benefits :

We offer a competitive annual salary of $127,000-$151,000, depending on years since licensed, and excellent benefits : medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, dependent and domestic partner coverage, 403(b) retirement savings plan, and loan repayment programs. LifeLong is qualified for federal and state loan repayment programs (HPSA score is 20). Acceptance rates may vary year to year based on funding levels and the number of applicants.

Responsibilities

• Provides prenatal, postpartum, and gynecological health care including : screening, health maintenance and disease prevention, management of acute and chronic gynecological conditions, and making appropriate referrals and follow-up for diagnostic and specialty services.
• This role includes four hours of administrative time as the Perinatal Lead at Howard Daniel. Varied duties include leading monthly multidisciplinary team meetings, participating in central perinatal team leader meetings, and providing clinical support to new department members.
• Coordinates care with other health team members including behavioral health staff.
• Acts as an advocate for the patient and liaison with outside agencies as appropriate.
• Provides verbal and written education and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Maintains patient records necessary for clinic reporting, billing, and quality improvement.
• Encouraged to provide some care as shared medical (group) visits.
• Consults with LifeLong physicians as appropriate.
• Participates as an active member of LifeLong Clinicians Association and abides by its Code of Conduct.
• Attends clinical team meetings.
• Participates in quality performance activities and improvement initiatives.
• May be involved in the supervision and teaching of residents, students or fellows.
