Forklift Operator Warehouse Operations

Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our warehouse operations team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of powered and non-powered material handling equipment, while supporting all core warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.

Perform daily forklift inspections and report mechanical issues immediately.

Conduct C-TPAT compliance inspections for inbound and outbound international shipments.

Uphold all Standard Work Instructions and warehouse security procedures.

Material Handling & Equipment Operation

Operate Reach, Dock Stocker, and Sit-down forklifts to move, load, and unload product.

Utilize RF scanners to process inbound, outbound, and internal inventory movements.

Perform palletizing and secure loads for transport via LTL, TL trailers, and vans.

Inspect inbound and outbound freight for accuracy, damage, and documentation accuracy.

Inventory & Quality Assurance

Conduct cycle counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.

Support inventory optimization through stock consolidations and QA inspections.

Ensure accurate transaction processing and documentation of all material movements.

Productivity & Warehouse Efficiency

Meet established productivity and quality goals as set by department leadership.

Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S standards.

Assist in onboarding and training of new warehouse personnel.

Provide support to other departments as needed through cross-training.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1 year operating stand-up forklifts.

Valid forklift certification (Reach, Dock Stocker, or Sit-down models).

Experience with RF scanning systems.

Strong reading, math, and documentation skills.

Skills & Abilities

Attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Ability to multi-task and take direction in a fast-paced environment.

Physically capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and moving heavy objects regularly.

Working Conditions

Fast-paced warehouse environment with consistent physical activity (walking, standing, bending, lifting).

Exposure to variable temperatures and warehouse noise levels.

Must be able to safely operate equipment and manage heavy materials (up to 700 lbs on wheels).
