ID : 72660601 Shift : 19 : 00-07 : 00 Description : Horizon Medical , Highway 70 EUnit Name : Women s InformationUnit Specifics : Number of Beds : LDRP 9 beds, OBED 1 bed, NICU 4 beds, 1 OR suite Patient Ratios : 1 : 1 active labors, inductions, C-sections, couplet care 1 : 3,newborns 1 : 1 until stable, NICU 1 : 3 intermediate care, but 2 NICU nurses must be in the unit if there are Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : no techs or unit secretaries Type of equipment : CPN Central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist, bili-blankets, PCA pumps Documentation system : Meditech and CPN Scheduling requirements : FT 3 shifts per wk., rotating weekend and holidays, PRN s to complete Floating policy : regular staff, if scheduled and not needed on the unit, are expected to float anywhere within the facility as needed, some staff are cross trained to float between LDRP & NICU Patient Experience requirements : daily rounding on all patients, SAFETY roundingHospital Specifics- Certifications : Joint Commission, Stoke Center, Level II Trauma, Level II NICUHiring profileRequested Skill have : Labor and delivery experience including the ability to labor and recover the mother as well as receive and transition the newborn including assessment.Experience with shoulder dystocia, PP hemorrhage, and other potential OB emergencies preferred.Advanced skills needed : Fetal monitoring education, experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil)Procedures performed on , circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, vacuum or forceps assisted deliveriesCertifications Required : BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring trainingDress Code : (Required uniform) Pink and / or brown scrubs required per the infant security policy for the unitUnit Guidelines / attach unit specific policies and guidelines. There are several other nurses who have been here in the 7-10 year range that are also very experienced and competent. The unit functions a great team and are very willing to help.
