Speech Language Pathologist - SLP

POSITION TITLE : Speech-Language Pathologist -SLP

QUALIFICATIONS : Must hold proper state certification

REPORTS TO : Special Education Director and / or Building Principal

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Master's Degree (SLP)
• Missouri State Licensure through the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts (SLP)
• American Speech Language Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence (preferred)
• Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY-SLP) applicants are welcome to apply, ability to pass a background check in accordance to district and DESE policies.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

The SLP shall assess students and provide therapeutic intervention to students exhibiting speech, language, and / or voice disorders to reduce problems impacting functioning in the educational setting. Duties shall include but are not limited to :

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT :

Annual contract for school year and Extended School Year, if applicable, in accordance with the provisions of Board of Education policy on evaluation of certified staff.

Background clearance required; the results of which must be satisfactory to the District.

EVALUATION :

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board of policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
