EMMC is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) apprenticeship program!

This excellent program is hosted at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. This 40 hour per week PAID position, at $17.75 per hour consists of 16-32 hours of class and clinical experience, with the remaining hours spent as a Patient Experience Aide on one of our many units. If you are accepted in the program, you will be a full-time employee while earning your CNA license. Internal candidates will be transferred to our Supplemental Staffing department to work in a clinical role as a Patient Experience Aide.

Upon successful completion of the program, you will be placed in a full time CNA position at Eastern Maine Medical Center, and upon completion of your probationary period will receive a pay increase to $21.00 per hour!

All applicants must meet the following criteria :

• 18 years of age or older
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Participate in a pre-admission interview
• Pass pre-employment background check
• Willing to work a 4-day work week while in training
