Middle School Spanish Teacher

Position Overview :

King seeks a Middle School Teacher to teach Spanish primarily to grades 7 and 8 as an immediate hire for a temporary replacement. This teacher will assume duties and responsibilities consistent with expectations for all Middle School teachers which consist of the primary teaching load of four sections and leading an advisory.

Reports to : Head of Middle School and World Language Department Chair

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :

• Teach four sections of Spanish Level 2 and Spanish Level 3primarily to students in grades 7 and 8.
• Serve as a Middle School include advocating for the studentscommunicating with parents about advisees progressguiding advisees through daily school life sharinginformation and leading discussions.
• Perform other supervisory duties as required of all Middle School teachers - recess and snack lunch study hall morning greeting etc.
• Communicate with parents / guardians about students andadvise progress as necessary.
