This position will primarily focus on the older adult population.
POSITION SUMMARY :
This role, reporting to the Adult Ambulatory Coordinator and / or the Director of Service and Medical Director, involves providing direct and indirect clinical services to adults requiring mental health support. Responsibilities include client treatment, crisis assessment, intake assessments, individual and group therapy, case management, treatment planning, and patient / family education. As needed, you may provide flexible coverage across other Behavioral Health services. EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
This position requires a Master's degree and Connecticut licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).Incumbents must maintain a valid driver's license with public passenger endorsement, ensure a clean driving record, and complete a driving safety program upon hire and annually thereafter for participation in the Fleet Vehicle Program as outlined in the Eastern Connecticut Health Network's Environment of Care Safety Policies and Procedures.EXPERIENCE :
Required competencies in level of care and age-specific needs.Preferred skills in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and familiarity with abuse and neglect reporting, community resources, and pre-authorization / billing processes.COMPETENCIES :
Computer proficiency, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook, alongside strong clinical, written, and verbal communication skills in English.Flexibility to meet both service-specific and overall system needs.Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and function autonomously when necessary.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :
