Our client, a well-established company in Stamford, CT, is seeking an AP Specialist to join their Corporate Accounting team. This is a fast-paced and highly visible role where you'll manage critical accounts payable functions and support inventory reconciliation for a key division of the business.

Responsibilities

Process up to 200 vendor invoices daily , ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.

Manage payment processing for oil-related vendors, maintaining compliance with company policies.

Perform monthly reconciliations of physical liquid inventory statements against the company's inventory management system.

Conduct general ledger reconciliations and assist in month-end close activities.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in AP or inventory accounts.

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to streamline processes and support continuous improvements.

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting preferred.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

ERP system experience required ; solid proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups preferred) .

Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
