Distribution Work Scheduler

Under general supervision, the Distribution Work Scheduler is responsible for preparing and tracking scheduled work for the Utilities T&D business.

Responsibilities include :

Works with others to fully coordinate plans and logical sequence of activities.

Coordinates construction activities with other business units including system / distribution operations, CDO, material management, engineering, construction, and project close out.

Communicates the plan to all company stakeholders who will play a role in successfully completing the work.

Provides work performance analysis on a per project, per crew basis to be used for crew performance evaluations.

Maintains effective controls over accuracy of work performed, track work that is needed to be rescheduled when the schedule is disruptive.

Leads work coordination meetings held with outage management leadership, system operations and engineering to coordinate planned outage workflow and takes the lead in planning and arranging work schedules to meet unexpected needs.

Maintains outage management cost tracking / forecasting access database.

Develops and administers Microsoft database applications and spreadsheets and provides project teamwork management system support.

Plays a key role in managing non-engineered maintenance.

Required Skills and Abilities :

Bachelor's degree in business / engineering, or related field preferred; minimum of Vocational or technical training / certification.

Strong computer skills with verifiable experience in database applications and / or project management software. SAP knowledge is a plus.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able to facilitate and communicate effectively in project team meetings and with field crews.

Team participation and experience is essential.

Must be results oriented, self-motivated with strong multi-task capabilities and able to work with limited direct supervision.

Must be able to analyze reports and summarize information for management decisions.

Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to properly prioritize projects and tasks.
