A company is looking for a Sodium Fire Design and Analysis Engineer with extensive experience in the nuclear field. Key Responsibilities Develop methodologies for modeling sodium chemical reactions and aerosol generation from sodium fires Perform commercial grade dedication of sodium fire modeling codes and develop analytical models for containment performance Support regulatory submittals and work with an interdisciplinary team to establish safety and performance requirements Required Qualifications and Skills M.S. or Ph.D. in nuclear engineering or a relevant engineering degree with at least 10 years of experience in the nuclear field In-depth knowledge of sodium chemical reactions and nuclear systems thermal-hydraulic Experience with sodium fire analysis using relevant computer codes is desired Familiarity with nuclear design, regulatory requirements, and risk-informed performance-based technology guidance Experience in multi-disciplinary engineering teams and understanding of NQA-1 requirements is a plus
