Healthcare Job Details

Location : Abilene, TX 79601

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 3 / 16 / 2026)

Shift : Days, 3x12-hour shifts (06 : 30 – 19 : 00), Monday, Tuesday, Thursday

Call and Late Days : As needed

Weekly Hours : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1970 - $2110

Patient Population : Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state

Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience

Craniotomy and burr hole experience required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (CNOR preferred)

Experience with neuro / spine, ortho / trauma, and general / robotics / trauma cases

Previous charge nurse experience and trauma level I / II experience preferred

Experience with Allscripts or Altera charting systems preferred

Ability to complete facility drug screen and labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted)

OR Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to surgical patients in the main operating room

Assist with a variety of surgical procedures, including neuro / spine, ortho / trauma, and general / robotics / trauma cases

Demonstrate proficiency in craniotomy and burr hole procedures

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and more)

Maintain accurate clinical documentation using the facility’s charting system

Participate in call and late shifts as needed to support patient care

Comply with all facility policies, including drug screening and vaccination requirements
