Licensed Practical Nurse

Licensed Practical Nurse Glastonbury, CT MUST : 2+ years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse Must have Injection experience Must have valid CT Licensed Practical Nurse License BLS required Immunotherapy or biologic medications strongly preferred Familiarity with allergy / immunology protocols, spirometry and patient in take process a plus DUTIES : The Licensed Practical Nurse (triage nurse) will be responsible for the following : Triages telephone calls and incoming patient information to facilitate the continuum of care for our patients Retrieves documents and responds to patient messages from voice mails Follows clinical algorithms to determine appropriate response Assists patients / staff in determining urgency and level of care Discusses patient clinical information with providers to determine the best course of care Processes prescription requests per standard order policy Sorts and separates urgent from non-urgent labs, x-rays and other test results. Follows up with providers with urgent results and submits all other results to medical records for filing Maintains medication logs as needed Completes prior authorization forms for patient referrals Provides excellent service Quadrant is an affirmative action / equal opportunity employer.
