Job Description :

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations on each patient and design individualized treatment programs.
  • Guide patients suffering from injury or disease towards full restoration of function.
  • Improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities.
  • Promote patients' overall fitness and health.
  • Work collaboratively within health-care teams.
  • Practice within the scope of New York State Law.
  • Work as part of multidisciplinary treatment teams.
  • Supervise physical therapy assistants and technicians.
  • Handle heavy lifting, pushing / pulling, and patient positioning as required.
  • Expect exposure to workplace hazards such as bodily fluids in contact with inpatient / outpatient populations.
  • Use Meditech as the electronic medical record system.
