Job Summary
This position coordinates all organizational outreach, marketing, and public relations initiatives for the College of Education and Human Development (COEHD). It collaborates with COEHD leadership and Augusta University's Department of Communications and Marketing (C&M) to strategize story coverage, marketing campaigns, events, and social media content management. The coordinator supports strategy and execution across multiple platforms and analytics. They will work with AU C&M to develop email and digital marketing campaigns, create social media campaigns, and write and publish news stories, feature stories, web content, and marketing materials.

Required Qualifications
Required Education : Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or related field.
Required Experience : Three (3) years of experience in media relations, public relations or a related field. Experience writing news releases, feature stories, talking points, statements and pitches.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Hootsuite, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud programs
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer software / databases.
Strong written communication skills with Knowledge of AP style

Shift : Days / M-F (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)
Pay Band : B9
Salary to be commensurate with the qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum midpoint) of the position.
