Summary : Arizona Liver Health and is looking for qualified candidates for a TEMPORARY - Research Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position in Peoria, AZ. Successful candidates are Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs) who have previous experience in clinical research and / or gastroenterology (GI) and / or hepatology with a high understanding of research protocol and what it means to be a sub investigator for a clinical trial. The Research APP plays a crucial role in driving and expanding the organization's ability to provide innovative patient care for those affected by liver disease.Title : Research Advanced Practice Provider (APP)Status : Full-time, TemporarySalary : $85 per hour (benefits eligible)Location : Peoria, AZ (Onsite; Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm, some Saturdays offered)Start date : May 19th or June 2nd End date : 6-months from start date, extendableEssential job functions / dutiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Responsible for performing patient evaluations, consults, and review of pretreatment for standard of care patients as well clinical research

patients on therapeutic options through available liver clinical trials onsite.Performs specialized procedure(s) and works with MD on patient diagnosis.Counseling patients and their families, as well as collaborating with appropriate physicians to provide other appropriate direct care interventions within the scope of practice for physician's assistants or nurse practitioners.Primary point of contact and assumes responsibilities for managing the care for

patient care in clinical trials and perform safety medical reviews.Work with various research staff members such as clinical research coordinators and research recruiters to complete visits and submit accurate source

detailed review of documentation for studies, charting, and proper informed consents.Communicate with research team members regarding studies and fully understand the protocols.Takes study and a patient from first visit to closeout.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities RequiredMust have previous experience in clinical research with a high level of understanding of research processes and protocols.Proficient in use of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive as well as practice's EMR system (eCW)Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong ability to identify issues with "quietly unhappy"

least one (1) year experience working in a clinic or hospital setting as an NP or PABilingual (Spanish-speaking) preferred.Ability to problem solve with systems and processes.Committed to self-study and learning new skills to enhance work performanceGreat leadership skills required with ability to mentor clinical research team on standard operating procedures and best practices.Commitment to earning additional certifications / professional titles outside scope of work.Ability to resourceful and consults resources before asking others for instructionDiagnoses and manage clinically complex patients with minimal assistancePrevious outpatient hepatology / gastroenterology experience as an NP or a PA highly preferred.Experience in completing fibroscans for patients highly preferred.Education and / or credentials and trainings requiredBachelor's Degree in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program from an accredited institutionCertification as a Nurse Practitioner with current RN and NP LicenseGraduate of a university program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education (ARCE) for the Physician Assistant with certification by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), license to practice in ArizonaMust maintain certifications as required by department or divisionCompletion of GCP and IATA
