Job descriptionWork with a test engineering group testing medical products Designing test fixtures and process equipment Creating and executing test procedures and generating write-ups to summarize test method and results CAD work including solid modeling and drawings Support the test engineering group and accomplish tasks with minimal direction Skills we are looking for in an Mechanical Test Engineer Co-Op : Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering program Mechanical aptitude and hands on mechanical experience (working on cars, fixing bicycles or FIRST robotics a plus) Solidworks (or other CAD program) experience Experience with Rapid Prototyping Experience with data acquisition and Python and / or MATLAB Knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be detail oriented About DEKA : One hour from the beach, Boston, and the mountains, the historic Amoskeag Millyard once housed the largest textile mills in the world. DEKA Research and Development, housed in Manchester, NH, has an exciting opportunity for an Mechanical Engineering Intern to work with the Test Engineering Team in a dynamic R&D environment.
In this role you will work alongside a group of passionate engineers to create innovative solutions that truly make a difference.
DEKA offers Co-Ops for full time students
- (must be at least 18 years of age).
This position is preferably for a 6+ month rotation for the Spring semester starting in January and ending in June / July 2026.
