As a Technician you will contribute to the synthesis of polymers and other materials used to create coatings. Youll conduct experiments collect and analyze data and maintain a clean safe and efficient laboratory environment. Working closely with a supervisory chemist youll receive detailed instructions for specific procedures but will take ownership of prioritizing your daily tasks ensuring productivity and upholding rigorous safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Set up reaction equipment and handle chemical reactants safely
Perform analytical measurements and record detailed experimental results in a laboratory notebook
Maintain a clean and safe laboratory including proper waste disposal and equipment cleaning
Order laboratory supplies and manage inventory as needed
Follow strict safety protocols including the daily use of personal protective equipment and occasional respirator use
Collaborate with a supervisory chemist while independently organizing and prioritizing your workload
Qualifications
High school diploma with coursework in chemistry required; bachelors degree in a scientific or technical field
1 years of laboratory experience
Commitment to working safely with hazardous materials and maintaining accuracy and organization
