A regional special education cooperative is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 20252026 academic year. This full-time, onsite position supports students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and behavioral needs across multiple early childhood and elementary school settings.

Position Details :

Schedule : Full-time, Monday Friday

Contract Term : August 20, 2025 May 20, 2026

Work Setting : Onsite only

Sites : Split between early childhood and elementary buildings

Caseload : Students with ASD and behavioral challenges; low-functioning profiles

Openings : One (1)

Qualifications :

Valid Special Education teaching license (or eligibility)

Experience supporting students with autism and behavioral needs strongly preferred

Strong collaboration, behavior management, and instructional planning skills

Responsibilities :

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs

Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff

Utilize effective classroom management techniques

Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to support students with disabilities

Maintain accurate records and progress reports

Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Requirements :

Valid Special Education Certification (SPED Cert) in the state of Kansas

Previous experience working in SPED settings preferred

Strong munication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs

Must plete an initial phone screening with a Soliant recruiter
